COVID-19 Workplace Policies

At Victoria Community Acupuncture, we are committed to maintaining a space where we can balance the needs of individuals requiring care with the need to limit the spread of communicable disease.

 General Guidelines for Personal Self-Care:

  • Masks are not required as per BC Health’s dictates.

  • Practice good hygiene: frequently wash your hands and cover your mouth if you have to cough or sneeze.

  • If you have the symptoms of a cold, flu, or COVID-19, stay at home and keep a safe distance from others until those symptoms have completely disappeared.

 Practitioner Guidelines:

  • Practitioners complete a health self-assessment check daily before coming to work. Any practitioner who has the symptoms of a cold, flu, or Covid-19, including any coughing or sneezing, will not come into the workplace.

  • Practitioners and staff will be completing higher levels of frequent cleaning of “high touch” areas in the clinic space:

    • Treatment rooms: In addition to regular cleaning, door handles, chairs, and surfaces will be sanitized after each patient, and all linens that come into contact with a client are laundered after each appointment.

    • Reception area: In addition to regular cleaning, the Interac pin pad, phone, keyboard, desk surface, customer ledge, pens, and door handle will be sanitized after each use/multiple times throughout day.

  • An instruction to cancel or reschedule appointments is provided to clients through the Jane system’s booking and appointment reminder notifications. Additional routine screening/questions of customers for symptoms before providing a service may be conducted.

Client Guidelines:

  • If you have the symptoms of a cold, flu, or Covid-19, including any coughing or sneezing, you are being asked to not come into the clinic for your appointment.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to email (info@vcaspa.com) or call (250-590-4341) the clinic.
